Now a well established visual attraction that draws tourists to the Merrion Square area of Dublin to see the vibrant doors that are portals to the old Georgian buildings. They create a sense of curiosity to find more of them throughout this colourful city. Although this collection of photographs that I took are just a small collection, there can be much said for the amount that there is in Dublin. Supposedly the painted doors was a fashion that was begun by the writers Oliver St John Gogarty and George Moore that lived next to each other. Whatever the case, and whomever started it… It is a great attraction that I have visited twice, and I STILL haven’t found all the eccentric looking doors of Dublin. Third time lucky hey?
